ISTSE is a single paper exam comprising of Mathematics, Science, English, and Mental & Logical Ability and open to classes 1 to 10. ISTSE is an international level talent search examination for the students of Indian schools. ISTSE assess the overall intellectual potential of students and covers the syllabus of CBSE, ICSE and State Boards.

Awards for Online Exam (For Direct Students)
Recognition
- Each participating student will get a certificate.Â
- The student who scores:
- 95% or above will get a Scholar Certificate along with a Gold Medal
- 90% to 94.99% will get an Outstanding Performance Certificate along with a Silver Medal
- 80% to 89.99% will get a Distinguished Performance Certificate along with a Bronze Medal
- 60% to 79.99% will get a Participation Certificate
- below 60% will get a digital Participation Certificate
Scholarships
- The top 3 students from each class will be awarded
- International Rank 1 – Scholarship of ₹1500/month for 12 months + Topper Shield
- International Rank 2 – Scholarship of ₹1000/month for 12 months + First Runner up Shield
- International Rank 3 – Scholarship of ₹500/month for 12 months + Second Runner up Shield
For top 10 marks holders, there will be thirty minutes video interview of 100 to decide the top 10 ranks.
Note
- A minimum of 60% marks in the ISTSE-Online examination is required to get a scholarship. If none of the students s cores 60% marks, then the scholarship will not be awarded to any student.
- In case of any confusion, the decision of the Academic Council will be final & binding.
- The student is not eligible to receive the scholarship for the same class again. For example, if a student is getting a scholarship for Class 4 (through Winter Online Exam) the student will not be eligible for the Class 4 Summer online exam scholarship. Student can appear in the next exam to evaluate their preparation, but they are not eligible for the top 10 Interviews or Scholarships.
Ranking Criteria
If two or more students score the same number of marks, following criteria will determine the rank (weightage will be given from top to bottom):
- Rule 1 – The student who will get more marks in the Scholars’ Section will get a higher rank.
- Rule 2 – The student who will get more marks in Maths will get a higher rank.
- Rule 3 – The student who will get more marks in Science will get a higher rank.
- Rule 4 – Students who will get more marks in Mental & Logical Ability will get a higher rank.
- Rule 5 – Students who will get more marks in English will get a higher rank.
- Rule 6 – Time taken by a student in completing the exam paper. Higher rank will be secure by student who has taken lesser time.
- Rule 7Â – If two students get the same marks, the younger student will be given preference.
For top 10 marks holders, there will be thirty minutes video interview of 100 to decide the top 10 ranks.
Awards for Paper based/Online Exam (Through School)
Certificates
- Each participating student will get a certificate.Â
- The student who scores

Recognition & Medals
- Class Level Awards and Recognition (School-wise)
- Rule 1 : If in a school, in a particular class, the number of students participating is 50 or more
- The First Topper from that particular class will receive a Cash Prize of Rs 1500 plus Gold Medal.
- The Second Topper from that particular class will receive a Cash Prize of Rs 1000 plus Silver Medal.
- The Third Topper from that particular class will receive a Cash Prize of Rs 500 plus Bronze Medal.
- Rule 2: If in a school, in a particular class, the number of students participating is between 25 and 49
- The First Topper from that particular class will receive a Cash Prize of Rs 1500 plus Gold Medal.
- The Second Topper from that particular class will receive a Silver Medal.
- The Third Topper from that particular class will receive a Bronze Medal.
- Rule 3: If in a school, in a particular class, the number of students participating is between 15 and 24
- The First Topper from that particular class will receive a Gold Medal.
- The Second Topper from that particular class will receive a Silver Medal.
- The Third Topper from that particular class will receive a Bronze Medal.
- Rule 4: If in a school, in a particular class, the number of students participating is between 5 and 14 – The First Topper from that particular class will receive a Gold Medal (Second and Third Topper will not receive any medal.)
- Rule 1 : If in a school, in a particular class, the number of students participating is 50 or more
- Class Level Awards and Recognition (School-wise)
School Level Awards and Scholarship
- Rule 1: If in a school, the total number of students participating, including all the classes, is 500 or more
- First School Topper (combining all the classes) will receive a scholarship of Rs 1500 for 12 months plus School Topper Shield
- Second School Topper (combining all the classes) will receive a scholarship of Rs 1000 for 12 months plus First Runner Up Shield
- Third School Topper (combining all the classes) will receive a scholarship of Rs 500 for 12 months plus Second Runner Up Shield
- Rule 2: If in a school, the total number of students participating, including all the classes, is between 325 & 499
- First School Topper (combining all the classes) will receive a scholarship of Rs 1500 for 12 months plus School Topper Shield – (Second and Third Topper will not receive any Scholarship.)
Selection of School Topper
- Rule 1Â – The Student should get a minimum 60% marks in the ISTSE examination.
- Rule 2Â – The Student must be a Class Topper for the current ISTSE Exam.
- Rule 3Â – The Student must get the highest percentile in the current ISTSE exam among all the class toppers.
- Rule 4Â – The Student must get the highest percentile in the Scholars’ Section of the current ISTSE exam among all the class toppers.
- Rule 5Â – The Student must get the highest percentile in the Mathematics Section of the current ISTSE exam among all the class toppers.
- Rule 6Â – The Student must get the highest percentile in the Science Section of the current ISTSE exam among all the class toppers.
- Rule 7Â – The Student must get the highest percentile in the Mental & Logical Ability Section of the current ISTSE exam among all the class toppers.
- Rule 8Â – The Student must get the highest percentile in the English Section of the current ISTSE exam among all the class toppers.
If there is a tie based on the above criteria, the School recommendation (based on academic records) will be considered.
International Scholarship
International Topper of each class will receive a scholarship of Rs 1800 per month for 12 months plus International Topper Shield.

The ISTSE online test challenges students to apply their learning and thinking by answering thought-provoking questions.
- It’s an Online Exam open to class 1 to 10 students. Students need to register online at istse.org.
- ISTSE is committed to the fair conduction of the examination and implemented anti-cheating tools to prevent any malpractice during the exam. Exam system is equipped with an advanced AI-based anti-cheating module, software tools and manual monitoring to support fair conduction of the examination.

- 16% of marks are set aside for fair participation in the exam. The “Fair Play / Practice” scores will be calculated through AI-enabled tool and manual monitoring.
