IMOCSEA Overview

The International Mathematics Olympiad Competition of Southeast Asia (IMOCSEA) is an international competition in Mathematics with aim to promote excellence and proficiency in Mathematics.

IMOCSEA is organized by GLOBAL LEAGUE OF WINNERS, INC. or GLOW. GLOW is a non-profit organization operating in Cebu City, Philippines and having tie-up with partner organizations in different countries.

IMOCSEA Benefits

  • Provides opportunity to the students to explore beyond their curriculum by participating in the international community and adapting new techniques, and strategies in problem solving.
  • Preparing the students to face international competition.

IMOCSEA Test Format

SASMO is open to students from Grade 1 to Grade 12. The duration of the test is 90 minutes for all grades. Paper contains 28 questions within 2 sections. No Negative / Deduction of point for Incorrect answer.

  • 1st Round: National level
  • 2nd Round: International level

Awards for students

National Round (administered in each country)

  • Higher 60% of the total number of participants shall qualify to the International Round
  • Diamond Medal & Certificate- 90 points or higher
  • Gold Medal & Certificate- 75 to 89 points
  • Silver Medal & Certificate- 60 to 74 points
  • Below 60 points and remaining
  • Bronze Medal & Certificate- participants in the 60% cutoff
  • Lower 40% of the participants shall receive Honourable Mention Certificate.
  • Top Scorers- Trophy (Glass)

Global Ranking

  • Champion – Trophy (Convertible to Cash for Overseas)
  • 1st Runner Up – Certificate
  • 2nd Runner Up – Certificate
  • 3rd Runner Up – Certificate
  • Lower 40% of the participants shall receive Honourable Mention Certificate.
