The Unicus General Knowledge Olympiad (UGKO) is an international competitive exam conducted online and offline (pen/paper) for students from class 2 to class 11.

Benefits of the UGKO exam:

  1. Help in building the concepts of general knowledge and current affairs.
  2. Provides platform to inculcate the spirit of competition and make them ready to face future competition.

How to participate

Key points for the exam:

  • Unicus Olympiads is a Summer Olympiad focussing on assessing the students on the basis of what he/she has studied in the last 2 classes.
  • Unicus Olympiads conducts examination in online mode only through laptop or desktop. The students can appear from the exam from their house or place with access to computer and good Internet connectivity (2 Mbps) and latest version of the browser (preferably Google Chrome). If schools have registered for for online mode of exam, then school may decide to conduct the exams at their premises.
  • Students cannot use Mobile device to take the online exam.
  • Webcam is compulsory on every laptop/desktop as exam is protracted.

Fees for class 2 to 11 is as below:

  • Indian Students: INR 225 (INR 150 – Registration fee and INR 75 – cost of 3 Mock Tests) per student
  • International Students: USD $15 per student.

Marking schemes is as below:

Weightage is as below:

  • Class 3 to Class 11: 70-75% weightage of previous class and 25-30% weightage of the one before.
  • Class 2: 100% weightage of Class 1.

Duration of exam is 60 minutes from Class 2 to Class 11

Ranking criteria

Ranking criteria is as below for Class 2 to Class 11

  • Total marks achieved in the exam.
  • Offline mode of exam- If two or more students score same total marks then criteria for determining the ranks is as below:
    1. marks scored in Scholar section of the previous class.
    2. marks scored in Scholar section of the previous to previous class.
    3. marks scored in Classic section of the previous class.
    4. marks scored in Classic section of the previous to previous class.
  • Online mode of exam: If two or more students score same total marks then criteria for determining the ranks is as below:
    1. the student completing the test in lesser time will be ranked higher.
    2. the younger student based on Date of Birth will be ranked higher.
  • Final ranks shall be determine and announced based on normalization of the ranks for each session.
  • In case two or more students score same marks under the criteria’s mentioned above, they will be awarded the same rank.
  • Decision of the Academic Council will be final & binding.
