CREST Mathematics Olympiad (CMO)

The CREST Mathematics Olympiad (CMO) is an international exam which is conducted online for students in classes Nursery to 10^th . There will be 2 levels for students of all classes. CMO is an objective-type test that need to complete in 60 minutes of class 1 to 10 and 45 minutes for Prep/KG.

Teacher/parent will be assisting the students of classes Nursery to 1.

The exam is consists of two sections:

Section 1: Practical Mathematics
Section 2: Achievers Section

What is the syllabus for CREST CMO?

The CREST CMO syllabus is based on the mathematics curriculum followed by schools, with an emphasis on conceptual understanding and problem-solving.

Is there a Level 2 in CREST CMO?

Yes. CREST CMO consists of Level 1 and Level 2 examinations.

Nursery to Grade 1: Students scoring 60% or above in Level 1 qualify for Level 2.
Grades 2 to 10 (online mode): Approximately the top 55.56% of Level 1 performers qualify for Level 2.
The Level 2 syllabus remains the same as Level 1, but the questions are more challenging and application-oriented.

How are CREST CMO rankings decided?

CREST CMO rankings are determined based on students' performance in the final qualifying level.

For Nursery and Grade 1, no ranks are awarded because the exam is parent/teacher-assisted. Students scoring at least 60% receive a Star Medal and Merit Certificate.
For Grades 2–10, final rankings and awards are based on Level 2 performance.
Students are evaluated for:

- Zonal Rank
- School Rank
- Percentile
Awards such as Gold, Silver, Bronze Medals, Merit Certificates, Achiever's Trophies, and Honourable Mention Certificates are presented according to rank and percentile achieved.
